It is not only a question of polished surfaces versus brushed ones etc...
It is a real difference of aesthetics.
Would like to see a different bracelet in the near future.

Congratulations on acquiring this beauty!
Looking forward to reading your review on this piece. Particularly around the bracelet. When I had the opportunity to handle one at my AD I was surprised at how light and comfortable the bracelet felt. Also loved how balanced the watch felt on the wrist on this bracelet. The fact that it was quite shiny did not seem to bother me, but this was indoors at a thoughtfully lit AD. Would be curious to know how you experience this watch in various settings.
The bracelet kept me away from this for a year.
But in real is is so incredible light and flexible. Patek surely had their reasons to construct it like it's constructed. I complained a bit in the Salon about the shine effect of the bracelet. The Manager replied: "it is ageing in a very beautiful way". I indeed hope so.

At the moment I'm changing between three watches:
Nautilus 3712 & 5711 and this 5960. Next week in Hawaii I will replace the other Nautilus with Aquanaut 5167. I guess that it will be very hard to say which of the watches is the most comfortable. Naturally, the Nautilus and Aquanaut are slim. But I'm surprised that the thickness of 5960 does not disturb at all with this "ugly" bracelet. The watch feels simply fantastic, just right, on the wrist.
I love the complication and the very different dial of my 5960. So all in all, I'm really satisfied with my purchase.

It's very comfortable!
I had been wearing this watch for the most part of the last 8 months and I love it! Love it so much that I put away my 5167/1A. The balance is just right. Some may not like the bracelet. I don't have much of a problem since I have a 5036/1G before, so I am used to this bracelet already. Great purchase!!

When I tried it on, my college age son gave me a look that said it all. My wife said it's a "Dirty old man" looking watch. That was the end of this model in our household.

Not just the fit but the look.
I think it ties the sporty/classy dial together so well.

We are not used to wearing than much all polished bralcelets in Western Europe for instance but as many here I lvoe the watch.

I think the bracelet looks ok. I believe you can also switch to a strap for a change if you want. A sporty black strap will go very well with this watch too

Age is just a stage of mind.
I took a +30 years younger wife, bought Carrera 911 GTS and bought 5960/1A. And now I feel like a young boy again. Or could it be dementia...

We do not grow over 30: this is what I am sure of
I have asked quite a few "elderly" people in my job, people who were blessed with a good health in age and the common feeling was amongst that group:
they all felt like 30 but not like 70 or more.
Our brain slowly deletes quite a lot of information in order to function.
Imagine you would keep all the events and infos in a lifetime always on the screen: not bearable.
And this is why we feel not old at all if we are fit in old age.
Back to your acquisition: to me it lacks nobles.
The bracelet works very, very well with the current 5396 /1 R with white dial or even better with the 5396 /1 R with brown dial.
As the overall design is austere the bracelet is not an issue imho.
This 5960 is surely a fresh, modern and young Patek and if you bought it in that mood you did well!

I tried it on too and felt it sits very nicely on the wrist as well, even if I think I still prefer the 5712's feeling.
