I've been convincing myself that the 5712 dial is too busy, and I don't really want a Nautilus anyway, it's too trendy and I don't like trendy watches, and that bezel is a scratch magnet, yeah, I totally am not interested, honest.
Then you post these fantastic and enticing pictures and all that good self-discipline goes out the window!
I first found it quite ugly with its asymetric busy dial. Then it slowly grew on me. Then I fell in love. The I bought one and now it's my favorite modern watch ;-)
Mind you, just a few days in KL I saw RichardN's Speake-Marin Piccadilly and I gotta say, yum - his is the date version but I'm awfully curious about the simple version with an enamel dial. Shocking there isn't any PSM dealership in HK, but next time I'm in KL I'm gonna be at the dealer like a flash. I'm in Singapore all next week but the likelihood of finding time for watch-related leisure is pretty nonexistent, darn it!
I've also got a few Rolex, Panerai and Reverso models haunting my thoughts. Problem is, things have been a bit bonkers at work and at home. Need to make time for some hunting. Well, after we see what SIHH brings, I guess...if GP brings out a new and tasteful Laureato, I could be a real goner...
We gotta get together soon. Hmmmm. How about another watches-and-really-healthy-food (ahem) night?
Here's a crazy idea: get a posse together for weekend brunch at the deli at the Langham then a bit of local browsing. Heritage 1881, Hankow Road etc only a hop, skip and a jump away...
