This is maybe the most beautiful Annual Calendar of the brand
I only saw it in picture, thus wasn't able to see if the "Wempe" sign I'm not keen on is really visible or discreet.
However, this watch remains a true beauty, the way the non-faceted hands and markers work with the watch, the subdial, the integration of the date window...
It was certainly inspired by the previous Perpetual Calendar dial layout, even if, in this case, I think the 3448's bezel makes it very different in style.
I love this one.

I recall when it was introduced, the European Wempe stores did not sell out initially. The NY store sold out, but was advising customers to call the European stores that still had stock for a few days after launch.

It is a fantastic limited PP annual calendar!
Only that you have raised the question of comparing it with the 3448 I must say that this one is too round and soft in case design.
The 3448 has got sharp edges, strong bevels and is more sixties design.
You can feel blessed to own this 5125 and be sure of my envy 
!

Congratulations on a truly iconic piece.
I also had the pleasure of owning 5125G for a year. The Wempe sign has been set to be discreet, nothing like the Tiffany sign, which is wonderful.
I liked everything about this watch, except its bubble design when viewed from the side. The lugs are placed far too back, making the piece bubble up on the arm and make it appear thicker that it is. I personally like the lugs be placed in the middle so that the watch on the arm looks thinner - perception only. From the front, 5125 is perfect imo.

Just some extra photos as requested by some members. Thanks for the comments. The knowledge in this forum is tremendous. The Wempe logo is not visible depending on the angle. That's why I like it. I also like Tiffany dials but different design from this watch. The 5125 is 37mm which is perhaps more classic in size than the current annual calendar 5396.
Question for Mark about the PP 5125
Since you mentioned that you plan to write about this soon, I really wonder how many of the 5125 were in German vs English text. I would assume that more were in German, since the only English speaking WEMPE dealers were in London and NY. Therefore, the English text watches are rarer. I hope that I am correct on this assumption. Thanks.
Many 5125s with non-English text disks in US ...
were changed to English by HSWA free of charge. So the initial body count is irrelevant now.
