If this is it, you could be forgiven for thinking it's a hoax: super-sized, existing movement from the 5980, with anniversary text on the dial and diamonds. Subtle it ain't.
I think it's going to be very interesting to see the general reaction to it and what people think it says about the direction at Patek.
-Shaped convex LCD screen to fit perfectly into the famous Nautilus bezel, and the convex curve to remind collectors of CRT television screens -Jumbo-jumbo-jumbo size: 55mm diameter -Screen is usually off, wake like a Pulsar digital watch -No fitness features; instead it has a stock ticker and a constant up-to-the-minute calculation of the owner's net worth -Pairs exclusively with Vertu phones
I did a comparison shoot of current Nautilus and the anniversary edition

Easily the new one will be sized close if not the same as AP Offshore 44. Personally this is what I have been hoping for aiEwise. Not too crazy abput the engraved 40th on dial. That should have been engraved at the back with numbering for x of 1300. Exclusive ig isnt but for mu wrist this will be a good size. Love the new blue dial too.
wasn't sure about the engraving but I recall you also mentioned that prefer dive watches to be in steel so they missed the point with gold/platinum here!
and it is hurtful that you think of it with my beloved brand I was thinking it was more a reference towards a Panerak or a Patekerai. Has anyone seen the movement? I bet it has no resemblance to the case size... Cheers Andrew
