Having seen the care and craft that goes into every link of a Nautilus bracelet I am almost reluctant to ask...
....but have any of you experimented with a leather, even a NATO, strap on a Nauti?

Actually I have never seen a nato on a Nautilus and personally I think that it would not look very good. However I have seen many nautilus on leather straps, especially in gold featuring a brown leather strap, which in my opinion is very nice because
it gives a more elegant and classy look. Furthermore I have also seen a few steel Nautiluses with black leather strap, especially in the 5712. Best.
If I'm not mistaken, Nauti also have rubber straps (aftermarket?). I think leather comes often with the Gold models too. Regards, skyeriding [nt]

The gold models come with leather and rubber OEM straps
Have not worn it on rubber but have handled the strap and it's very nice. Finished/looks like a leather strap but works for warm climes.
You'd need an adapter of some kind to fit a NATO.

You also had the unique 5712 in Titanium for the 2007 Only Watch auction:
I saw one (I don't remember if it was a 5711 or 5712) on the wrist of a gentleman at a Patek presentation in Paris. He was in a very nice grey suit and the watch was just perfect. For a more "business" attire or a little more elegant wearing, the leather strap is a great choice imho.
I like Nato straps (even if I don't have any). I don't think it could be easily adapted to the case (it is not a standard "pump" stem display).
I don't know if you can adapt a leather strap on a bracelet model but it would be interesting to know
