The comparison I used (570) was more a placeholder for all vintage watches. I love the 2526, for example, but this watch as a 570 etc. does not have the ultra-precise perfection of the watches from the 90s and later, if you know what I mean?
I absolutely agree with you about 90s era pieces. Modern in construction but still classic in design and size. Serviceable for years to come with relative ease compared to true vintage. When tastes return to more classic styling, pieces like this will really be appreciated I think. It is my favorite era to collect from. So many gems at reasonable prices.
I too would like it more without a date window but that is a minor quibble.
