Great Package
What I like is that many of the elements that I enjoy about Patek Philippe watches are exemplified in the 5212A-001:
- It is COMPLEX … with a nifty weekly calendar complication.
- It is VALUABLE … not everyone has one (well, … at least not yet? Lol).
- It is extremely UNDERSTATED … just wonderfully unassuming, really!
I’ve read that some are not enthused about the date aperture at 3 o’clock and suggest that a 6th hand should have been added to mark the date along an additional outer ring? Honestly, I couldn’t DIS-agree more. In my opinion the dial has just the right amount of intricacy … any more would detract from what is a very understandable layout. Also, … the white background of the aperture nicely highlight’s the handwritten information.
