Me and a very good friend have realised that we have many similar pieces and now we decide that we should own different piece. So, I have gotten this watch and we are eyeing at another. The decision is he will get this from me and I go get the other one. And the watches we own should only swap between us

I was wondering about this type of "Watch Share"model, as it has worked with vacation homes, cars, and other things. Glad there is a post about it and I wonder whether others are doing this, envisioning it, how might it work, etc?

which I curate watches for a friend who love good watches but doesn't want to spend the money up front. So, I suggest some watches that i love and if he loves too, I will buy it for him first while he pays me by installment with no interest. Generally, it took him between 2-4 years for each piece and we swap as well. Some of his pieces I paid for initially have sky rocketed in price. For example, I bought for him a Nautilus 3710 at retail price and a special Journe piece. He took several years to complete payment for those two watches. I am happy for him. The condition is I get to keep the watch until he completes his payment.

This 565 is one piece that me and my friend have talked a plenty about and how it is the inspiration for the modern 5565. we have been talking extensively on another piece too, which I hope I can share soon :P

Patek should have more of such pieces in the current Calatrava section. 565 with 27SC movement tends to be cleaner as they were towards the end production of 565. Almost 90% of 565 come with sub second and it is extremely rare to have it in sweep second and in stainless steel. Most importantly, this watch has gorgeous enamel printing on the signature and the minutes scale . Such tip top, untouched condition is probably also due to its water resistant casing.

Love the shared approach to your collecting
Excellent idea but can be fraught with danger as I tend to fall in love with my pieces and do not give them up easily

These foundational pieces belong in the collection for always. If Patek wishes to control the number of pieces fine, offer a smaller number of pieces annually but don't remove them from the collection.

I love the '565' case. Am I correct to say that it was made by the same manufacturer? Also, is your bracelet from Gay Freres? If yes, can you photograph the stamping to show me? I am curious about the hallmark stamping of old Gay Freres bracelet. Thanks!

The case was also made by Taubert et Fils, Manufacture de boîtes Borgel. This Bracelet is the budget version of the Gay Freres bracelet but perfect match. This was my inspiration...

Does it have any hallmark stamping on the bracelet? Also, are they the extended type? These are all steel bracelet, it doesn't matter what price they are as long they are working well.
