If I have ruffled any feathers, I do humbly and sincerely apologise. That is the last thing I intend to do. I will keep these musings to myself going forward.
The watch remains intrinsically and fundamentally the same. The things I like about it remain unchanged. However, it is the context and our feelings that change. As we go down our individual watch journeys, we also learn more about ourselves. Things and experiences are mere opportunities and gateways to insight and (hopefully) wisdom. Gordon asked previously, why after years of lurking did I decide to join 'the dark side'. Well, it was the hope of finding similarly-minded kindred spirits who might share such experiences.
This watch was an unusual journey. I had to wait a little while to be allocated one. Some time later, the 40th anniversary pieces came out, and I, just like some of the other owners of this watch here, felt slightly irked. Then that feeling went away, only for Nautilus fever (or fervour?) to sweep in. The opposite end of the spectrum. But yet through it all, the watch remains the same. Funny isn't it?
