This 96A is my proud gem. A is rare and I was satisfied with it , forI thought that the dial condition is good.
But an expert of vintage watchs told me that this dial might be repaired. So I enlarged it and examined.
Certainly there is doubt about inscreption at 6 o`clock position .
Patek enamai is fine.
How do you think about it?

Just to add one thing The accent above Geneve
Is often a good indication as to the originality of the dial

I do believe that it may have had some work done. The #7 marker overlaps the sub seconds dial. This is kind of a tell tale that dial work was done by somone other than Patek.

I also hesitate to make an evaluation without seeing
the piece in person. Are the concentric circles in the
sub seconds sharp? Often when refinished they are there
but flattened a bit. Also are there any marks on the
numerals which indicate they were removed during the
refinishing process? A gorgeous piece in any case.

But I will enjoy this gem regardless re -done or not.
The lack of 'comma' after PATEK for old logo and...
the lack of accent above GENEVE mean that the dial has definitely being refinished. These two details are easily removed when the lacquer was removed. You can also check the side of the applied numerals for hint.
Note that the placement of the 'comma' is also important. I have seen expensive stainless Steel 130 from super reputable dealer that has the dial redone and the comma redrawn BUT in a wrong position when you compared to the others. How I figure out that the watch was redone? The watch also had old logo but the dial is way too clean. Then I check on old auction and found the exact same watch before it was restored. I find it interesting that such renowned dealer will actually add the comma during the restoration.
