Patek Philippe

I have this old darling but there isn't much info I could find online. Old Patek inscription (no comma between Patek and Philippe, don't know if it was erased or if it shipped like that), rose gold dial on a rose gold case, 32mm, all marks on the back of the case appear to be correct. Movement has Geneve seal, it has a '143' inside what looks like an anvil and below the 18K 750 marks for the gold case. I'll ask for an archives extract, but for the time being I'd love to know the model and approximate manufacturing year.

You are looking at a second batch of 12-120 movement, made between 1940 and 1950. For Patek you can hardly set up a numbering rule for the cases, so the only way of knowing something about the watch is to ask Patek. References were not always engraved on the back so that might not be a problem.The 143 is, as far as I know the case makers mark, indicating Classicor SA according to www.vintagewatchstraps.com p

So at best you are looking at a re-dial. 

I would not redial. A cleaning sometimes is more than enough. I sent my 2508 for movement restoration and dial cleaning to Patek. Costs and time have been reasonable, if you want to keep it. Best regards, Lars

and the text seems ok. I had my suspicions about the kerning between the 'C' and the 'o' as well as the 'T', but I honestly don't see much issues than that. I even checked the comma between 'Patek' and 'Philippe' and period dials (1940-1943) usually don't have them. Appreciate your feedback!

Judging from 12-120 movement, 32mm diameter and stepped bezel, this could be ref. 592 from 40s. I could be wrong....
