New strap has arrived…
In January, I stopped by the Patek Phillippe Boutique at the Wynn and ordered a blue alligator strap for my Gondolo. It arrived today! I am looking forward to stopping by a PP AD in the DC area later this week and having the strap put on!
Thanks. I had intended something a bit more bold — but, the sales associate convinced me to go with something more traditional or conservative. I think she was right.

Though I find it ridiculous that these days waiting time for a strap is 4-5 month...Not that availability in other places is better.

The whole practice of being a buyer has changed, not for the good side, and in the long term (I hope I'm wrong) my feeling is that it will reduce the enjoyment from this hobby, that in turn will hurt the manufacturers in their pockets..

I wanted to post this discussion separately but for the forum: for those of you who swap out straps yourself, what tools do you use? I'm talking about models that have spring bars. PP won't sell the tools as they say the work should only be done by AD's, but that's not feasible for those of us that don't have a dealer in our cities. Thanks.
Bergeon 6767F(ine), and some tape to protect the lugs. Nowadays I buy more straps with quick release springbars.
I use the Bergeon 6767 as well. For bracelets
I've got this Bergeon press set. Good for pins and screws, and limits chances of causing damage.
