It is such a great watch!
But still it's current value prevents me a bit of enjoying it fully as I used to (5712 in my case).
To me it a uniquely designed, well proportioned, stunning three hand time only watch in steel.
The Nautilus was designed by a legendary designer and equally well executed by the best mansion in watch making. It is very versatile and comfortable. Therefore, I’d say the hype has always followed the Nautilus and the bubble is far from being burst. At least in the eyes of the people who buy these to wear and enjoy.
What is burst is the unsustainable prices these achieved just over 12 months ago which I think was primarily fuelled by the speculators and trophy hunters.
Enjoy wearing your 5711. I can’t wait to see the 5811 in steel.
Market prices around 3x rather than 5x MSRP for a simple, serially produced SS watch are not exactly my definition of a burst bubble, my friend... :-))
But, given your highly sophisticated collection, it's nice to see this great-looking and versatile 5711 is also being appreciated and fully enjoyed!
