One of the most beautiful reference...
and possibly my favourite for those within my reach.
The fact that it has so many variants just adds to its appeal (though some feels this dilutes its value), as we all can find our own favourite.
Many here feels it lives under the shadow of its esteemed predecessor, but I feel they both have their charms.
I compared them and went with the 5270, as I like its bigger windows, newer movement, and cost advantages.
I own these two, and dreamt of adding the 5270G-019 and 5270P-014. The 5970P is equally tempting but it cost similar to those 2.

I prefer the 5270 to the 5970....
.....as the subdials aren't as centrally positioned due to the larger and perfectly proportioned movement.
I also had the 3970 in my collection and find it stunningly beautiful. Unfortunately, its proportions on the wrist never completely convinced me.
I'm too poor for the 1518 and 2499 😢
The 5270G-001 was the logical solution for me. The first PCC with the in-house movement. And, in my opinion, the most versatile version, even when I like the J very much.

The absence of thacymeter scale makes it very clean and uncluttered.
