Hello:
I have been reading so many informative posts on this PP forum and I would like to thank everyone in advance for all the valuable information and knowledge you have shared.
I am looking into purchasing a Patek Nautilus and would like to ask for your opinions. I am contemplating between the discontinued 3800 (with Roman markers) or the updated 5800 version with stick baton. Which do you recommend? Also, is there much difference between the two, other than the clear back and the 1mm size difference? Any suggestions or opinions would be very much appreciated! Thank you.
which is your choice ?? I prefer the older model ... u ?

The fun thing about 3800 it came it various dials, various metals, whereas, 5800 is a replica of 5711, slightly thicker than a 3800, with a curved outer case for 5800 vs the straight case for 3800.
5800 was produced within two years, patek decides to cut it off the production line, and concentrated on the larger size 5711. To me, they are both nice, but 5800 will have a far smaller production number than 3800. But i prefer 3800 for its more interesting variations
then go with 5711, cause that is probably what most people will go for. Because i am not a very large & tall person, 3800 somehow fits comfortably on my wrist.
Later, i will post some pics of my 3800 & 5800 . Do shop around, you might find, 5800 is the least available model in the market. Happy hunting.
