watches gave me the most pleasure in my life..............Sad but true.......
As for when???????? about 20 years ago......
M.
I was thirteen ... my mother's budhist and after his death she wanted to give all his possesions
to the monks at the temple..( didn't understand at the time). I stole my father's Seiko from the pile the to be given away
.... I remeber how heavy it was and how bright it was at night while laying in bed. It was the only thing left of my father that
was still alive and I wanted to keep that Seiko forever, I knew at thirteen that if I kept the watch on or kept it moving that it will never stop
didn't understand why, and didn't really care at the time. All I knew was that that watch gave me comfort... my mother always knew that I have taken the watch but never said anything, she let me kept it for a while... until one day she told me I had to let it go.. It was the only way to move on. It was tough, and trust me, I did not want to give it away.. but I did... since then I have awlays loved watches. In a strange way it gave me a sense of comfort I can never explain

I'l bet my dressing time has doubled since I got the watch bug. When I started matching the watch, cufflinks, belt buckle and pen......I even bought a rose gold wedding band to rotate with my platinum - I had to admit I had fallen off the deep end!
Now, more often than not, I start by deciding what watch I feel like wearing and then build everything else off of that. My wife just shakes her head....

aged about 18 months old, my parents were at a loss to know how to entertain me. I diodn't really like toys. I did love clocks. In fact, whnever i saw one i would scream "Tic Toc" at the top of my voice in excitement. One day they took me to London Zoo. After about 2 hours of looking at all the animals (in silence), I suddenly saw the Zoo clock....i errupted into an enormous and iconic "Tic Toc" tirade.
So, i guess i started at 18 months.
