1954 2525 needs a vintage 16mm tang
I would like to replace the non PP buckle that is on the watch with an appropriate 50's vintage tang 18k YG. Alligator band is also non PP but is beautiful and is 18/16mm. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You will want a 14mm buckle.
During that era, in my experience PP dress watches had 18mm lugs and 14mm (interior measurement) buckles. They're offered from time to time on a prominent auction site. It's not difficult to find 18/14mm straps to go with the authentic buckles. If you find a buckle with a 16mm measurement, assume that it is either fake or of a later date.

I made this buckle for my 2526
The straps that end at 16 mm are much more available so I made mine 16mm.
