Patek Philippe

I wanted to know if PP fans generally like to buy PP watches that are exclusive to being sold at Tiffany & Co.?  I know there has been a long association between PP and Tiffany & Co. and wondered if at auctions, do these watches fetch a higher price than the same watch without the word "Tiffany" on the dial or caseback?  If you were planning to purchase a Nautilus for example, would people in this forum prefer it to be from Tiffany & Co. or just from an authorized dealer and why?

Also, what do PP fans here like better between the following PP watchesassuming price is not an issue:

1.) Aquanaut 5167 in black rubber strap

2.) Aquanaut 5167 R in brown rubber strap

3.) Aquanaut 5164 Time Travel (new from Basel in 2011)

Some people are willing to pay more for a Patek ( or Rolex) with Tiffany dial, I don't understand it because I don't like it.

Most Patek watches have a clean dial and I don't want some 'free advertising' on my watch. On the contrary, I would ask a big discount if an AD printed his name on my watch. But with Tiffany it seems to be a different story. But once agian, I don't like it and would never pay more for such a piece.

If I had to choose between the Aquanauts I would go for the more complicated Time traveller. But than agian this watch is imo way to expensive and for that amount I would buy the Nautilus 5712

looks okay, but I would prefer it not be there at all but I bought it from one of my clients and wanted the watch with name on the dial rather than passing on it since it's no longer made. 

There are some watches which the dial layout doesn't really lend itself to an additional line placement and can, in my eye, be distracting.

Does it add value? It did not from my perspective and I don't know enough historical data to say one way or the other if the Tiffany signature is significant at all with the exception of limited edition pieces made expressly for Tiffany.

I'm a Patek fan, just not of the Aquanaut and would select something else. What I like, or anyone else likes, is immaterial when the decision should be based solely on what you like.  After all, it will be your watch and must please you. 

I like the smaller calatravas and would suspect most folks here prefer the larger watches but that would not influence me to change my mind in acquiring another 3796 or 3923.

im lucky to have the PP aquanaut 5167 rose gold with Tiffanys&co on the dial...i got it at Tiffany's in manhattan near my home. Only 3 or so a year are sold of this model with the co-brand, so it does have an air of rarity. i understand watches at this price point usually have complications, but the style and look of this watch is extraordinary. For you guys that dont like the Aquanaut, try a new model on, and objectively say its not an amazing watch.Granted im still learning about the ins and outs of watches and maybe there is something i dont know which seems to make people on this site torn about the Aquanaut.
