I made the plunge for a recently serviced 3919 which arrived yesterday and is beautiful. While winding the 215 movement, I noticed that it didn't take long to start feeling stiff and coming to a stop. To not force an avoidable broken mainspring, I didn't push it but only got about 13 hours of power reserve. When winding this morning, the same thing occurred. While I don't mind winding twice a day, I wanted to check in with you to see if any have had similar experience with the 215? Do I need to give it a little more force?

and I get easily over 40 hours of power reserve. And there is no resistance before the watch is fully wound.

Thanks, Kari.  How many winds does it typically take to make it to full?

The watch was half empty about an hour ago and it got around 20 winds. If I should guess, I would say around 50. But if it is important, I can let it empty and try on Friday evening.

No worries, Kari.  I'm going to see how long my last wind lasts and possibly take it in if there are issues.
