Agree ... totally !!

We just don't see watches made the same way as it was before, nowadays, its all about the bottom line.  Whereas, the golden days, people takes time to create, to out design one another .... congrats on such great find.

Thanks so much sharing them with us Roni,
Impeccable would be an understatement to describe each of these outstanding, dream watches. You've no doubt selected each in absolutely superb taste, and its evident they simply don't make them as good as this any longer. The first one to the left simply blows me away with that intricately worked dial and fancy case.
Best wishes,
Rishad

Dear Roni,

It's not the first time you delight us with excellent pictures, interesting information and sharable comments about your valuable collection.

Personally, I think that also the contemporary PPs have beautiful and refined cases; they are less original than in the '50s, indeed, but more original than the ones of other prestigious brands such as AP and VC.

I totally agree on your last statements: collecting vintage PPs is not only a comparatively affordable way to enter the PP family, it must be absolutely fascinating and intriguing! To tell the truth, me too I intend to start hunting some beautiful vintage PP, but not before having realized my [rather adventurous] project of a watch designed by me.

Ciao,

Elio

Vintage Pateks

 By: Roni M : March 30th, 2012-09:05
Thanks.

I do agree that contemporary Pateks are nice too but for some reason generally they don't  strike that chord.Of course I think there are exceptions such as the 5050, 3970,5004,etc.I recently acquired a 5496 but as odd as it sounds it doesn't connect. On the other hand the 5131 i love  its functional utility besides the beauty of the dial .

But take something like the rare Ref 2546 from 1954 which we are informed in the available literature that was  hand sculpted out of a single block of gold ..... to me it  oozes with delight and it doesn't get better!

Best,

Roni

Roni,
I never saw this one anywhere before. It simply blows me away. Beautiful in every way possible. You really do have another level of taste when it comes to these vintage PP jems. Thank you very much for letting us see and learn from these beauties. Becoming harder and harder just to see them around, even in the books or auction catalogues.

Thank you for your interest, Roni, I wouldn't appear arrogant and I hope you'll understand: PuristSPro is made of good men but this world in we live is full of hungry sharks and I have to protect my creation, at least until it will be fully realized. Moreover, I've involved in the project some trustworthy technical partners and I intend to respect their important role avoiding to release on the internet early pictures of the watch. Yes, I'm the one who had the idea and the one who put his money, but - call me candid, if you think - I believe in the idea of "teamwork".

Ciao,

Elio

Hey Ronnie, thanks for the delicious pictures of the 2546 !
I have one in my collection in YG, just to have an idea of what I have, can you give me an approximate value ?
I saw at auctions in 2000 and 2001, 2546, one in Pink Gold (109.100 CHF) and one in Yellow Gold (14.950 CHF)
Do you think 14.950 CHF is the right price nowadays? It seems low, if someone can help me...
thanks

Hey Roni, unfortunately it is a family legacy and I would never part with itwink
A new bracelet arrives soon and I intend to put it back in good at patek. The pics are of poor quality... can you give an approximative price range?

9f course I do understand given the attachment!

I think a value of around $ 25 k plus would be reasonable

By the way the dial markers on yours are unusual

I also managed to acquire a rose gold version
