Hi Patek PuristS,

A knowledgeable Patek collector (knowledgeable because he is the editor of a watch magazine and a Patek fan) and I met up in Shanghai.

He brought two lovely watches which I tried on.

Too bad I did not receive in time Robin's suggestions on excuses for not able to get others' watches off my wrist. LOL!!

My (male) friend bought the female 4675G and changed the blue clasp into a black strap with pin bucket, and it worked as a men's watch!! Reason being that the diamond hour markers are discrete and understated.

What do you guys think??

p.s. The 5100 on the wrist is smaller than what I thought and it felt good on my wrist. The owner told me it would take him two minutes to wind it fully.

Well Gordon that is a nice mouth-watering trio.

I'm surprised to see how good the 4975 looks (even if the 5975 remains my favorite still).

The gorgeous 5100 has a lot of character and I'm curious to see the 5200 soon I hope.

Hi Mark, IMO 5975 vs 4675 the winner is...

4975 because its dial is cleaner (i.e. less busy) and more balanced.

At first, I thought I would not like the diamond hour markers. After seeing the 4975 in the metal, I was sold because the diamonds are subdued and are tastefully done.

Changing the strap also made a big difference and so does the fit on my small wrist. LOL !!

and we already thought at the time that the 4675 could be suiting a man's wrist as well. You're perfectly right.

Both dials are quite different, and I love the 5975's one but it remains very personnal.

But in the mean time I really see the nice balance in the 4675 dial's layout too.

in that group of Patek, I would say 5131 and 5100P because I don't wear the 3 other 5100.

but the very first Patek I prefer to wear is the 5450P followed by the 5711P

After thinking more, it made sense to me (but not sure whether your logic was the same) because the 5711P is a versatile watch while the 5450 has an useful annual calendar function for daily usage.

To me, the 5131 is a piece of art work and deserves special occasions, and that is how I wear my 5131G.

Enjoy rotating wrist time with them.

it's simply because the 5450p is an amazing Watch

Everything is perfect in that watch. Modern and vintage at the same time, perfect leaf hands

The mix with the color of the dial and the platinum case is simply awesome

I modestly try to guess which Patek will have success and I really didn't explain myself how this reference went through

I really hope you'll have the opportunity to see a 5450P in the flesh and perhaps you'll be agree with me
