Patek Philippe reference 5575 from the 175th Anniversary Collection - WOW!
I was fortunate enough to spend some time recently with fellow Purist GLau in Beijing, who wore his beautiful Patek ref. 5575 World Time Moonphase to our mini-GTG.
Not having had the chance before to spend some quality time with the new reference, all I can say is, WOW!
The case is a thing of beauty - I have always held the classic Patek cases in the highest regard (though I personally feel the recent trend towards overly decorative flourishes on the case surfaces a bit too much for my taste...) and the case used here is just simply sublime - without question the true heir to the timeless elegance and subtle grace of Patek's storied past.
The understated small Patek Philippe logo;
The jaw dropping detail of the moon;
All in all just a stunning piece, the epitome of all that is great about Patek Philippe.
And if you look very carefully, at just the right angle and under just the right light...

A very unique model in the collection.
As an anniversary model, we should expect an unusual watch and this 5575 is clearly different from any hing we can see in the regular catalogue.
I would really like to see it one day, to completly capture these details everyone is talking about.

Love the second picture showing the iridescent moon, looks awesome. And great to hear that you had a mini GTG with GLau, we met him not too long ago during his visit to SoCal. He's a cool guy to hang out with.

There are in fact two answers which are great:
My bank account would love "no" while I wouldn't be disappointed with "yes". Let's see... I have also understood that the Grand Exhibition will bring new versions of some old watches in all price classes. That might again influence to my bank account. Life is so tough!

Worst case there is a chance that your AD may have good news for you in 18 months! LOL
I start to be worried as there are now news yet.
And if I do not hear anything on Monday, I lost the watch. But saved the money.
I think there was something special going on with my 5550P. The AD said to me when I picked up the watch: "Luckily we got the Certificate of Origin back from Geneva yesterday". Furthermore, my name was printed there with my old address. And the AD has my new one... So I feel that the allocation was done in Geneva.

Not very soon but soon.
I do not plan to see the AD before than in a month's time when I will pick up a Calatrava I happened to order without planning to do that. I will try 5575 on my wrist and make the final decision only then.
I do not think that a limited edition is a reason good enough to buy a watch and thus, I need to see it also in metal.
