Just when I was thinking, "hmmm...nearly a year since it was set correctly and worn, maybe I should try to find this Patek annual calendar a more loving new home..." I get a morning shot like this.

Decisions, decisions!

Keep or move on?

The problem for me is that I seldom wear full gold bracelets, and this one is integrated, so it's not like I can just swap to a strap ...

What do you think?

The natural light does bring this piece to life!  Full bracelets in gold generally are not my taste, but this one looks good.  Nice shot with the BOC building in the background.  You must be in the Mandarin Oriental.

Full gold is quite a statement, but sometimes it's just perfect for a particular occasion. I would keep this beauty unless you have another all yg heavy hitter. Look at those street lights trying to communicate with the 5036 - the world takes notice!

actually works. leather tends to deteriorate too quickly from the humidity and sweat.

this was my first PP watch although in G rather than R.
the bracelet was a bit heavy for me so i sold it and changed it to the 5056P.
no regrets

I agree, the full bracelet is heavy, but on the other hand sometimes it is a good feeling to have some heft on the wrist.

My first Patek was a 5056P which I sold regrettably, and many years later after it was discontinued I bought another one back at a much higher price...  I also know a friend who wears his 5036G regularly.  But for some reason your rose gold bracelet just stands out and is shouting for attention.

your cautionary words are powerfully compelling...

I suspect you may take a bit of a hiding on the 5036 but if you are not wearing it, and you have something else in mind then go for it

as it is something very difficult to replace in today's offering.

But I would say that if you don't wear it that much and don't feel you find what you're really looking for, then you should maybe be looking for a new watch to look after.

Gold bracelet watches are becoming more and more popular today and brands are providing very attracting models. Maybe you'll find what suits you better there.

Time will help you take your decision

My vote would be to keep it, even though you don't wear it that much.  To me, it's a nice alternative to all the others you have that are on leather straps, and it's what I would call "elegant bling" - an otherwise quiet and refined watch on bold but still tastefully rendered gold bracelet!

...your skin tone, your outfit, the overall cultural context. I would not wear it in a very formal Northern European business context (=my world). 

but I think the bracelet is beautiful for even one occasion a year, and the patek does not do any harm in the safety deposit box for the rest of it.
