Got a chance to try the new Defy Revival Diver
Or Defy Diver Revival? Anyway, you know the one. I was *really* intrigued by this one as soon as it was announced; it really seemed like my kind of diver. I had two concerns.
1. Would it be too thick for its small diameter and feel really awkward and top-heavy?
2. Is it *too* orange?
Verdict on the first charge: Not guilty! It wore really nicely, thick for sure, but not at all awkwardly so, and honestly didn't seem as thick as the numbers indicated. I really liked it on the wrist.
Verdict on the second charge: Guilty. It was a really bright safety-cone kind of orange, and there was just a lot of it. Maybe just not for me.
Maybe Zenith will offer it in another colorway? I'll be interested if they do!

I want this case with a more classical dial and Vinnie wants this dial with a more classical case. Poor Zenith, what are they to do?
I love orange as an accent color on a watch...
but maybe not so much as the dominant color?
I thought it was great
I owned the non-diver version of this watch for a while, and thought this version of the case, a little thicker, with the bezel, and the crown at 4:30, is more appealing.
Interesting dive
- I like all the orange
- the case shape has a great vintage vibe
- excellent case size, looks good on your wrist
I don’t like the arrow tip minute hand, that’s a No go for me
I'd have liked better differentiation between the hour and minute hands.
The orange arrow tip partially disappears against the orange chapter ring, leaving the hands hard to distinguish at a glance.
They wouldn't have to go as far as Doxa does, but on the other hand... I like how Doxa does it!
Yours is a very nice Doxa, it’s different to see it with a leather band.
Additionally, I’m not a fan of the Zenith crown at the 4:00 position
Based on the press release, I didn’t really pay that much attention.
