While not available in stores here until the end of September, the local had one on display and I spent a few minutes working with the new mirror-less full frame kit. Then for fun I tested it with a non-cpu manual focus 28mm Ai S in aperture mode.

You can read all the specs online if interested... but my first tactual impression is as of a small dSLR with lots of buttons... lots of buttons.
I tested the kit with the 24-70 Z mount lens (and the aforementioned 28mm Ai S using the adapter). The Z7 kit with body, lens, and adapter lists for Yen 534,600 (just under USD 5,000) so it's not inexpensive.
The Nikon Z6 will be released later at a lower price point & "less features"...
If you have any interest my suggestion (as always) is to take all comments with a grain of salt and try to get hands on...

2018: 35mm f1.8 S, 50mm f1.8 S, and 24-70 f4 S
2019: 58mm f0.95 Noct, 20mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, and 14-30 f4
2020: 50mm f1.2, 24mm f1.8, and 14-24 f2.8
The body is 134 x 100.5 x 67.5 (W x H x D)

The Df at around USD 2,000 less (Df body vs. Z7 body + adapter) looks like a bargain if you are just trying to shoot stills with Nikon legacy lenses. Thanks for the comments on the Fuji XT3... at the moment I don't shoot professionally so much of my interest is... just because I am interested ; )
One complaint about the Z6/7 from professional shooters is that there is only one card slot... YMMV. The Z6 is about USD 1,500 less than the Z7 (body only) - I haven't compared the specs.
I will take a closer look at the XT3.
