My latest Ulysse-Nardin purchase has arrived!
After four months at the spa to service and calibrate the movements, my Trilogy set has finally arrived. Yes, it took a while but this set can only be serviced at UN Le Locle and verifying the calibration takes a month in itself! Both sides of each watch are purely mesmerizing. I thought I had adequately researched the complications, but there is so much more to learn about each one. I cannot begin to put in words how excited I am about this set. Its presence in my collection has made me re-think why I own other timepieces-- were they fashionable purchases or were there more sound horological basis? It's strange but I am now doubly tasked with learning the Trilogy in depth and with reviewing the other watches that I own. I've taken more than a sip of the horology Kool-aid this time. What do you think?

I always loved the Tellurium, and had a slight preference for this one, but the Astrolabium and the Planetarium eat my mind in the same way, with time passing.
I agree with you, this is the kind of piece which will unavoidably lead you to rethink your collection.
This is the same feeling you have when you get a milestone, Vintage or Modern, because this set is a milestone, of course.
Now, I see that you also own the Sonata, which is another extraordinary piece.
I would also jump on a Freak, if you don't own it, yet.

Astronomical perpetual calendars second to none in their looks and importance in the field of haute horology.
When Rolf tasked Ludwig with creating the Astrolabium, he set the wheels in motion for an ultimate set for future collectors.
Over the years I've had the pleasure of spending time with all three of these, not mine but friend's, and I can tell you this, that you will find them intoxicating. The dial alone on the Tellurium with it's tiny gold wire that represents part of the earth lit by the sun, is exquisite.
I could go on, but I'll let you discover for yourself all the intracacies and elements I so love about them!

Really amazing. Pieces you can really submerge yourself in.
Unordinary timepieces ... for an extraordinary journey.
