The depth and thickness of the watch, and the space that is empty around the movement is what creates the look.

I am so happy to see UN explore the design of space..and the clean lines.

There are VERY few watches, none, that have empty space that is functional.

The empty area is for the minute hand to travel thru.

It makes one think.

It has that poetry.

 The fact that the Freak's design requires a large % of the case to be empty is itself beautifully pure.

The space was not intentional...but purely functional.

I love my Diavolo too, an amazing design and pure pleasure every time it is on my wrist.

Never heard better words to describe the Freak case....wonderful..

I've been eyeing UN from afar but really got hooked after trying the Blue Sea. Love the attention to detail and I can't wait to take a look at the more refined pieces like the Freak. On the wishlist for sure.

But I still have to see it in the flesh, though...

As for the Freak in general, I love your description, the way you put it, a lot.

But I guess this is not a surprise, from you.
