Thoughts on this UN Classico blue grand feu enamel watch?
I saw this recently at an AD and was impressed with the grand feu blue enamel dial!
The movement is so so (ETA I believe) but the case size and design and lugs shapes are very nice and suits my small wrist. Case is steel and great value!
The blue dial is to die for!! I really love it! Perfect under a loupe too.
The date is my key hesitation. I'm ok with eta movement and the price of this piece is really attractive for a watch with such a beatiful grand feu enamel dial.
What do you guys think of this watch? Yes or no for me? 
Also is the guilloche engine turned guilloche?
Any advice will be much appreciated!

Tempted more than once
but passed on it, even though as you've said, the blue is superb...I just couldn't see how often I would wear it as the beauty and the way it plays with light is also its setback for a versatile wear. And the date...does it have to be there? And in a white disc that just breaks everything that's perfect?? Nuff said.

More than once was I tempted with this beauty.
The price is right and it's a looker. I have a thing for blue-dialed pieces. However, I too wonder how often I would wear it when up against others in my collection.
Have you considered Blancpain's blue Villeret series pieces? Yes, a bit dearer on the wallet but also a stunner.

I have a Patek nautilus 5712 in grey-blue but it's not a blue like this one for the more fun days.
But agree if I have the PP already maybe I don't need another blue dial
Although this is in enamel and looks so nice!! Arghhhh... Tough to decide

Sorry to say that your pictures just don't do the dial justice.
Not your fault, it is just that that dial can only be seen in the metal to be truly appreciated. It is stunning.
I have admired it from afar and from close. I too had been tempted and have mercilessly hinted to my wife that I would like that watch (dare I say present?). But, truth be told, I was admiring it the other day and did have the question pop up as to whether I would wear it or was it a bit too flashy. Sigh. I don't know, but if I happened to open a box and find it in my hands, I guess I'd suffer and find a situation to wear it.
Don't listen to anyone but your heart. Yes the movement is an ETA. Maybe down the line there will be an in house movement. But, this is the kind of watch that is bought for the beauty of the piece, as are the cloissone watches as well. Same movement but what artistry. Have confidence in your eye and your senses. If you like it and it is preying on your mind then it has found you and you should move on it.

Indeed I do like the dial and like you, I have the same thoughts on whether it can be a tad flashy or not.
But with all my serious looking watches, this one can be a nice one to have when I want to have a fun evening for eg.
Alot of my collector friends are dissuading me to be honest... but the watch is still singing to my heart!

Robin, should you come to my house, you might see art or a watch and you might
think, "what were you thinking when you bought that?" Who cares? I loved it, it spoke to me, it meant something to me. I have had similar conversations with very dear friends about some of my watches and I said thanks but my heart won out.
If we all liked and owned the same watches would we be happy? Would we have a unique identity.
Be true to yourself and not to the thoughts of others.

True but when it comes to my wife, I have learned that the words "I don't like it" does
end the conversation. We do have one painting that I liked and my wife didn't - the painting is now squirrelled away in the garage not seeing the light of day.
"I like it" - it's a go
"It's okay" - a point of negotation
"I don't like it" - conversation over and done with.

I like the way you've put it! LOL! I will agree with you, and dare I say this transcends geographies, languages and cultures!
Striking appearance on this one.
I definitely agree the date spoils what could have been even more spectacular. However, I'm not sure it is a complete deal breaker. You are still getting a superb and unique dial. If it comes at a great price, perhaps you can accept that trait? I have enjoyed many watches where I might still change a detail or two if I could. Few pieces are "perfect" to each of us.
I still like this one a lot.

Me, I am the opposite and need motifs on enamel, as you might have already gathered.
Hard for me to advice whether you choose this enamel dial or the Montblanc Rieussec Horse. Why don't you take both!! LOL

is a YES IMHO, but I feel it grabs to much attention away from other aspects of the watch. If you like attention, then that is the perfect selection
