Just helped my aunt capture the watch bug!
After weeks of much thought and back and forth, we narrowed it down to 3 choices:
1) Patek Philippe Calatrava 4897R-010
2) Vacheron Constantin Malte Small Model 81515/000R-9892
3) Piaget Limelight
We couldn’t find the colour she wanted for the PP and she said the Piaget was too “young” for her. (My aunt is in her 60’s...).
We finally settled on the VC and she’s quite happy with it!
It’s a manual wind with transparent caseback (sorry, didn’t get the back of her watch) w/ a 40 hour power reserve.
It runs a 1400 AS which is quite pleasing to the eye.
The AD was very helpful and even provided my aunt with a spare strap (which she chose dark brown).
This is my aunt’s second watch (her first being an Omega). With luck, I’ve contaminated her with the watch bug and she’ll be starting her own collection soon!

This Vacheron Malte Small Second is a great choice. It offers a so sensual shape to its owner (I tried the man version but it was too big for my wrist unfortunately). Very elegant. Please congratulate your aunt for this very lovely watch
