I think that Bill makes good points. I obviously chose the VC OS, but both pieces have merit. For me, the Maltese cross bracelet was a huge plus -- in addition, for whatever reason the RO just doesn't sit on my wrist correctly while the OS rests very nicely. I also liked the OS dial better, and perhaps the concept that "everyone" (a very relative term in high-end watches) was buying the RO made the OS that much more attractive to me.
By the way, I'm a big fan of the base movement -- my old-style JLC Geographique is beautiful and keeps just about perfect time, in addition to being a great travel watch -- one more reason to like both of the more sporty variants from VC and AP that you are considering.
Go with the one that speaks to you -- and have fun (and take your time) considering both!

I tried both of these watches on a few months ago. If I'm not mistaken, the advantage of the Overseas is that it does have a seconds hand and the RO version of the Dual Time does not, and greater water resistance. Most people will also agree the bracelet of the Overseas has more flexibility in feel and may make the watch feel more comfortable when on the wrist. Still, even with these advantages I still prefer the RO version. I just like its design, but thats purely subjective. Its a watch that is on my "must have list."
Good Luck and let us know what you decide.
