 hello everyone I'm Alessandro from Italy, first sorry for my english, I'm new in the forum,
after more research I found this forum, I hope someone can help me, I bought a watch vacheron, but I'm not sure of the purchase because I have no experience, I don'tknow the model.
these are the data that I have:

vacheron constantin rose gold 18k meca mvt 458/39
serial: 309955
movement serial: 481764

 can someone help me to understand the model and the year of this watch? and reff. code

I will forward the serial numbers that you listed to Vacheron Constantin to find out the reference number and date of production of your timepiece (please wait a few days for an answer).

The 458 was a small, high-grade, manual winding movement with subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clcock. I'm sure that I speak for many participants here in hoping that you will share a photograph of your timepiece on the forum, as we appreciate vintage VC very much.

Are you absolutely sure about the case and movement serial numbers? VC tells me that there is a discrepancy  in the match.

Hello Bill,

the description you gave me is correct the watch has a second hand at 6 o'clock

In this moment I don't have the watch, but I checked the tracking number in this moment, I will receive it Thursday I immediately send in the forum 2 photos and rechecking the serial number. I hope that all go ok.
At the moment I only hope that there is an error in the data provided by the store. Otherwise I contact  immediately the shop.
