Last year, Bar2020 put a black rubber strap on his white dial Overseas Automatic, and it looked fantastic. There was a good thread about the strap change with some discussion:
Someone asked the question if the straps were interchangeable among the several Overseas models, and Bill confirmed that they are. Now I wonder the same thing about the beautiful bracelet. Can the bracelet be switched from one Overseas model to another?
By the way, does anyone here own more than one Overseas? If so, I would love to hear about that.

Sometimes it does just seem it would be easier and better to own more than one Overseas. "No kidding," I hear you say sarcastically. But it's difficult for me to rationalize owning more than one Overseas. The again, when has that ever gotten in the way of buying another watch?
The problem is that the Overseas looks so darn good on the leather strap, the rubber strap and the gorgeous bracelet. Yes, one can relatively easily change the strap/bracelet, but I worry long-term that frequent strap changes may not be good for the screw holes, potentially wearing out the threading inside the hole -- and then what do you do? The screws can easily be replaced by VC, but the screw holes drilled into the case, once worn down or stripped, could be a major problem.
There is always the nice thought of having more than one model for different occasions and uses. I love the chronograph, but I have to admit, the time-only Automatic is a bit more versatile. The different Overseas models call out to me for different reasons. And I am greedy. Well, Joe, you knew that. ;-)
The likeliest candidate for a second Overseas would be the Automatic. Then there is the trouble of which version. The Deep Stream is really attractive, but then so are the white and now discontinued black dials are perhaps even more versatile and very handsome.
Still wondering if the bracelet is interchangeable among the various models. however.

You are absolutely right!
Well, Bill answered my question and that gives me food for thought.

I certainly do not feel expert enough to advise you about your strap question. I think that the straps/bracelet for the current generation Overseas will not fit the old generation models, but again I would like for someone more knowledgeable than I to confirm this.
Failing that, there may indeed be other sources for straps for the old generation overseas, but I am guessing that you may have to special order such a strap. Again, I am not sure where to direct you (and if I did, I would PM you with suggestions rather than post them publicly per forum rules).
Sorry for that abundant lack of help. :-/
