Vacheron Constantin

I recently tried this watch. It is actually discontinued from my understanding as the 1951 is the current production version. I love this vintage looking full calendar dial from the Toledo 1952.

Unfortunately I feel it wears a tad big for me. What do you guys think? The curves on the case is lovely too!

I have owned this watch since 2013.  I have always loved the design elements. The case, dial guilloche, layout, applied Arabic numerals, blued date hand, etc.  what I have found, however, is it can tend to ride on the wrist a bit. It also wears big, but from the below photos it still fits ok. It can be at times a little uncomfortable. The bottom of the case is not curved so this style case can have an effect on the wrist.  The photos show the fit with a cuff dress shirt. A cuff link shirt is better. I also have worn it with a Polo. It is all about your wrist and tastes.  For me though, the history of this case is everything, and I feel it is an important addition in the VC collection.  Robin, you need to try it a few times to be sure the fit is good for you.

You and I have discussed this watch before.  Now that it is discontinued, of course, I grow more interested in it.  Next time we GTG, I would like to see and try your Toledo on, if you don't mind.

I like the way it looks on your wrist very much.  And it is a very good choice for your collection without a doubt for a number of reasons.

Found the 1951 to be a little too large for your taste, so I'm not surprised you feel the same about the 1952, which is also thicker
