Hello. The simple answer is 'both.' I began with a soft landing (a 2020 Tonda GT) and have now gone full metal jacket with (with the 1999 Ionica). While not a Toric, it's from the same unmistakable vintage.
As such, I couldn't easily choose between your two. If I was forced to make a call, the Toric would edge it for me. I like knurled bezels.
This Tonda's pretty nice ...
... but I find the new line a bit off-putting with that huge dial. So, within the current offering I like the Topic better. Also, the hands are nice.
toric hands are very nice
both are around 40mm may be the fotos being so close make them look bigger

As many above have stated: it’s simpler case and clean dial make it unobtrusively attactive.

It is very Parmigiani, the lugs. But the Tonda with the non Parmigiani style fits my taste better.

The tonda 1950. I do like the toric better in the hemispheres model and the tonda in the 1950. They make amazing and underrated watches. I have a parmigiani and my wife has one too
yes you can :) was just wondering on why it got discontinued but the toric is still in the lineup :)

Has much more Parmigiani DNA, the Tonda ... take away the name on the dial and it could be any brand

My vote goes to the Tonda. Althou I should add, for both watches there are more compelling dial variants imho. Completly subjective opinion of course.
In any case, both are exceedingly well-made watches. You can’t really go wrong.
