Aaron is a 3rd generation watchmaker who learnt the finer points from restoration work.
Isn't it remarkable that all the best independent watchmakers have done restoration work?
I think it is because they learn from our forefathers and know what works and does not work with time e.g. Daniel Roth, Peter Speake-Marin, Michel Parmigiani, Frank Muller, Paul Gerber, Ludwig Oechslin, and even F.P. Journe, to name a few.
Aaron also went to technical school and did academic theses so he is just as adroit with his mind as with his hands.
I was lucky to meet him, his lovely wife, child and his 'other children' - the watches; in Kuala Lumpur 2 years ago.
I saw the watches and held them with gloved fingers because they were the only completed pieces and represented most of his life assets.
He does excellent work but is probably unfortunate to be based in Hungary with no marketing and PR support.
The global economic crises since 2008, when he presented his first wristwatch - the tri-axial tourbillon PRIMUS - was an unfortunate timing.
I wish him well......
