Laurent Ferrier showed two new models, the Galet Micro Rotor "Montre Ecole" and the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double F.
With the Galet Classic Tourbillon Double F Ferrier for the first time opens the tourbillon so it can be seen from the dial side. It is stunning, see for yourself.
The Galet Micro Rotor "Montre Ecole" is a micro-rotor movement in a new smaller case. The case reminds us of a small pocket watch case, rounded both front and back. The addition of small horns allows its use as a wrist watch. I really like this case. It is not as elegant as the Galet case, but finer. A great new addition to the Ferrier line.

Those dials, those hands, that micro rotor. Perfection is in details and the finishing level is excellent, no need to use a loupe. He's the only one i'd compare to Journe, mostly for the elegance and uniqueness of the dial.
Now i'm waiting for some complications; not necessarily a minute repeater, a nice chrono would be enough (as appetizer). I wish him and his factory all the best, i see in this man a real plan for the future, no noisy claims, no odd marketing choices (cheesecake), only the ability and proficiency of the real swiss made....but i'd rather fabrique en suisse.
Saw these both creations in real at the SIHH last week. If I'm always thrilled by the movements, it was less the case for the dial of the Galet Micro Rotor "Montre École". Too "sad" and good IMHO.

Same for the lugs. By far, I prefer the design of the Galet Classic.
