You know my love for Salmon dials so if I didn’t had a 1941 already i would have loved to get this watch . However if i would add a Principia now i would go for a rose gold creamy Lacquer dial or the light blue SS one . There so beautiful.
The 1941 case seems perfect to me and the dial finish is really something special to see. All this before you turn it over to see the awesome details of the movement. Not sure how the Grönefeld brothers follow up such special creations in the 1941 case but I will patiently wait because I am sure I will be blown away like the first time I saw a photo of the Remontoire.
I'll be honnest I much prefer the Remontoire rather than this Principia Automatic. But of course this one is also a great version whatever the combination. A enamel dial would certainly be yummy yummy
Everything cannot be made of enamel frérot although I would agree it would be great 😉👍...

next thing I know you will tell me the 126719BLRO GMT meteorite would look amazing with an enamel dial instead of the meteorite dial 😉🤣😂
Sometimes there is a time and place for enamel and I dont think putting enamel on ALL dress, high end, haute gamme pieces is necessary. If that happened, it would somehow cheapen the enamel dial option for me if EVERY one and their mothers had an enamel dial 🤷♂️😜
For example, your Type XX in platinum with salmon guilloché dial. We can also say it would look good and prefer it with an enamel salmon guilloché dial like JLC does with the blue enamel dials on their new models BUT here I don't think it is necessary or appropriate.
That is my point as well. Some watches don't need an enamel dial to make them better. I would even say our black dial Duometre à Chronographe does not need one as I like it the way it is...

if it had a black enamel dial, sure it would he awesome but I don't necessarily think it would be better either. That was my point about this Gronefeld and a few other watches as well 🤔😉
Agreed. The Duometre doesn't need one, at least the Chronographe. As for the QL, it is different, the smaller case goes very well with an enamel dial. [nt]
