Laurent Ferrier Manual Wind 116.01
Happy Holidays all,
This is a shot I took of the movement of my Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Opaline. It's a manual-wind caliber 116.01, a much simplified movement compared to LF's previous efforts, this one using a Swiss lever instead of a natural escapement. However, I love it just the same. Something about the low-key finishing complements both the watch and my tastes. Winding this watch is a wonderful ritual to start the day.

funny i was just discussing how currently i sue an expresso machine from Nespresso but i think I will buy a more traditional machine and brew my coffer fresh each morning instead of capsule!

I use a burr grinder and a Chemex for pour over, or sometimes an Aeropress. For a drip maker, I have a Breville. I recommend any or all of them!
I was impressed with some macro shots I've recently seen of the movement on this, the quality of the anglage looks terrific!

Such a good looking Laurent Ferrier
I prefer the micro-rotor, since I am a bit lazy and I love the look of that caliber so much.
But this- and the new green dial version are very attractive pieces, that one actually needs to see
in the flesh to appreciate the beauty.
