Yes there are quite a few elements that are similar to FPJ watches, particularly in the case and dial.
I’m guessing this is done with Journe’s blessing given how “protective” he is of his designs.

The dial design is awful, and then we have engraving on the bezel which is a throw back to 20-30 years ago (and it didn’t look good then either).
Too much text on the dial, or at least the size is wrong (too large). Too much competition for your eyes between the oversized 3-6-9-12 and then the home time hours. The home time aperture also seems quite big, distracting. All in all it just doesn’t seem to work for me, theres just too much not right with this dial to overlook. Your mileage may vary as they say.
It’s also worth noting that much of this could change between now and product delivery, or indeed over the coming years.
