in our life. There are many marvelous, genius watchmakers out there such as Francois Paul Journe, Felix, Kari, Roger Smith.....whom I deeply respect.....
but ,imo, Dufour is an inspiration to many.
I remembered reading an article before when Mr Dufour was asked which is his favourite watch other than his own and who is the other watchmaker to be aware of.....
he mentioned Lange Datograph and , most importantly, he mentioned Mr Kari (and that was before Mr Kari was this popular with the online horology lovers).
This really show what a generous gentleman he is.
His Simplicity, imo, is definitely an inspiration of the past/vintage and a watch that he strongly believe and calls it his own.
I'm extremely happy and delighted to be a part of it

I still remembered the day I order the watch, my heart beats really fast and feel very very excited.
And that was a time when the only brands I know exist (in my world) are Patek, Lange, AP, VC. After ordering the Simplicity and submit to Mr Dufour's belief, it somehow opens my world to Journe, Urwerk, Vianney and the current new stars like Roger Smith and Kari. V

There's really only ONE Dufour and to be honest, without his existence and his story I doubt any of the independence watchmaker can inspire me in watch collecting.
Just my opinion
