    Just thought i post some pics i took at the event.  3 pieces of information Max revealed that i think worth mentioning r:

1> all machines ll have production life span of 3 yrs to ensure exclusivity
2> sometimes when he look @ HM4 he thinks -who the hell is gonna wear this!?!
3>there rn't likely to be smaller machines as bigger platform provides more area for expressions

i seldom come to these events but MB&F is one that i didn't want to miss.  the staff were diligent with that little girl behind Max constantly running in/out
getting things covered, very cute.

its a bit funny listening to the translator trying very hard to tell Max's story especially when max gets technical. 



its a full house & everyone were excited to see the machines



Now this black titanium piece is really a wonderful wonderful creation. i have never been a fan of blacken watches but this one is different, the case feels
silky smooth and i like its understated elegance.  On paper i wasn't too found of the shape but having learned of the concept of linking 2 worlds together
with a beating heart magically made me like it a lot more. overall finishing of the HM1 is best over the 3 machines IMHO.

 

HM3s r exactly as i expected, needless to say, i luv them the most among all HMs so far





the gentleman next to me kindly model for us, a panerai guy in tune with HM3



Max generously took HM3 off his wrist & asked us to try on  to feel it. While looking at myself in the pic, i know deep down inside the animal is...

Overall a great experience & i think someday soon i ll  have a machine on my wrist

I was very impressed when I saw the first pics of this watch.

The shape, the metal, the coloro, the whole concept is really speaing loud.

Hope to be able to see one in the flesh, one day.

i remember Max's voice pointing it out as black titanium while i was mesmerized by the movement. However, the Chinese press note i received stated it being blacken white gold.

Nevertheless, the piece is as heavy as the RG version & finishing is silky. 

The HM1 engine really is incredible, i learned that it even get torsion bars as racing cars...  the depth/layers of the dial & movement stands out easily.

Nice to see Max sharing the gospel of MBF more and more. Were you privy to viewing HM2s at all as I noticed only the HM1 and HM3s present. Thanks again. Looks like a good time was had by all.

we did get to see all 3 but did not see the only watch 

Hmmm... somehow the pics i took for HM2 were fuzzy so i didn't bother posting them. Funny according to Max, HM2 were very well received in HK but  not as much here...

It really was a great event and Max was a breeze to meeting in person, i ll strongly recommend anyone to party should opportunities arise

I can imagine the HM2 to be well received in HK as it is quite similar to other brands who have rectangular watches hence the market response would be easier due to early break-in "mentally" towards accepting the look of HM2. I think the Only Watch version can only be seen in our neck of the woods when it reaches Shanghai (the only Asian stop IIRC) on July 29. Other than that, almost impossible to view it in person unless one bids on it and actually wins.

I think the statement that production will last only 3 years to intentionally create "exclusivity" is quite telling.

Exclusivity is created by how watch lovers and watch buyers react to your product. When you have the manufacturer setting out to do it, chances are it's compensating for something else. Make beautiful watches, the rest will come naturally.

Just my opinion.

its only natural they could afford offering few models in a given period i presume, confirming product life cycle is good marketing as its guaranteed exclusivity.

MB&Fs r really something different than conventional horology,  they r more of  kinetic time pieces than creating a timepiece.  I have to say seeing them in the metal,  they r growing on me more & more


One tiny thing that i think ll push me over the edge is if the balance wheel is made to the shape of the battle ax   too!

I appreciate MB&F's work but I'm curious to see the HM4, as my favorite HM is still the first one, then the second one and finally the third one.

I hope to invert this trend with the HM4 !
