You will remember that in my recent post showing my visit to the Christophe Claret shop I had no pictures of the final cased up product of his new DualTow model.   That was due to the fact that they didn't have any on hand.  Now the first final pieces are available.  Before we have a look at the DualTow here some summer images of the Claret domaine "Soleil d'Or" .  The administration and parts of the development are in the Soleil d'Or building.  New production buildings are behind the chateau.  Now just imagine this in a Le Locle winter with one meter of snow.

Without further interruptions, the Christpohe Claret DualTow:
Tourbillon planetary gear chronograph, double barrel 50hr autonomy, hour and minute indication on rubber belts.  The single-pusher chronograph sounds a gong at each push.

Certainly the watch is a beautiful, unique piece of kinetic art, even if it's not my style ultimately.  Very impressive display though, both front and back.  Thank you for sharing the finished piece with us.

I find the mechanism facinating, clearly a demonstration of their mastery of watchmaking in several forms at once.  The chronograph is a most unusual design, I could see using that idea, where each hand of the chronograph has a separate set of control levers from the column-wheel, giving a designer great freedom in laying out a chronograph.  On the other hand I find it aesthetically displeasing (ugly), clunky (ugly) and completely lacking in any sort of aesthetic balance (ugly)....
