Following a few comments on "teasers" in this Forum, allow me a few words. When I follow a brand, I like the intellectual challenge of wondering what their next piece will be. Take what Urwerk just posted on what seems to be called Tornado. I love to get that info three months before launch and wonder what this fantastic team is cooking up for us ! It gets my heart racing and my brain into overdrive ! Would I prefer to get just the image of the watch in three months during its launch ? Personally no. I actually like getting that sneak peak.
Based on the good old principle my father taught me of “treat others like you would want to be treated”, I have indeed taken the habit of unveiling a part of our new creations a few weeks before the launch date. Am really sorry if this offends some of the community which you all know I deeply respect and appreciate, and hope you therefore understand better why we do this.
I do read, and take to heart your thoughts and suggestions and thanks again to all who have been following our creations !
Warmest regards,
Max
once it is "overused" it can be tiresome. i personally loved the HM4 teasers, becoz its clearly a new watch, and even dare i say revolutinary. variants of existing models may not have the same effect. one must understand that its MBF as a brand, and certainly its products are, controversial to some extent. its one of those " i love it" or "i hate it" situation. some might even find certain variants gimmickly. i personally love Machines 1 2 and 3....4 still not quite yet.
doing a watch intro teaser, is akin to a stripper doing stripetease. the music, the smell, the ambience, the speed of stripping, the lighting.....all set to create a arousal in the audience...and must be timed in such a way that it "climaxes" at the appropiate moment...not before, not after. and of course...the STRIPPER him/her-self(being politically correct and gender neutral here)
imagine a world whereby Patek decides to do similar teasers....what would the reaction be? boring? wow?
Hororgasm
p.s. for the record, i have NEVER been to a stripclub before.
cheers
