Independents

I don't know this question has been ask before. Is there any independent watchmaker offering a sport style watch? With metal or rubber band(I prefer metal)

Stepan just (well, a few months ago) announced a sports watch.  I love Stepan's work and the price/quality/uniqueness ratio is off the charts. 

I know I'll get slapped for this, but last I checked Rolex was an independant - to me, they make some pretty nifty sports watches.  I am partial to the Deep Sea myself.

Mine is the 1000m v2 GMT:

They designed the case, and it houses a Lemania 5100.

Also, their RE3 is a technical marvel (withstands 5000m depths)--and enjoys a distinctive, almost singular, case design.

I'd also hit Nienaber's website--he makes some sprts/GMT watches.

And of course, the Habrings design a sharp chrono (one being a single push button chrono)

Tutima sequestered Paul Gerber, who design an alarm function for them (I can't recall which watch or model, however)

Agreed. Their chrono is the only one I'd consider as it maintains their class but with a sporty so design. That said, is there a new version coming? Thought I saw this mentioned causally in another post recently.

exists also with stainless steel case (instead of DLC coated SS as pictured) and various combinations of dials (red, white, cafe latte) and second hand (red, blue or white). Cheers. Philippe M

how about Kobold? mostly ETA movements but seem to be pretty robust...
