Just got mine (good timing for the anniversary!). I emailed Embassy with that question and they said yes but I know there are some concerns about having a Valjoux 7750 movement run continuosly this way, so I wondered what others are doing.

I don't, although I do not really know anything more than you do: I have seen the same concerns that you allude to, and my bias is to not leave it running all the time. I do let it run every so often for 24 hours just to keep the lubricants moving. On the other hand, I remember seeing some owners post that they do leave it running, and I suppose that if Embassy say that it is OK...then I suppose that likely it is.

However, it can also be used as a second hand to ensure that the watch is not so "silent".  Sometimes, I do that.

Paul Gerber has indicated that it's designed to have the second hand running, so that's good enough for me!

and I have never seen a chrono movement that had problems due to the chrono being continuously on. The key is, as always, to have it properly service every once in a while.

Normally, I leave the second hand alone.  But once in a awhile I'll let it sweep for a day or two just for a change of pace.
