I've waited them for a long time and here they come !

The 1 Hz from the Grönefeld Brothers (dead second watch). The whole watch was built around this dead second complication: design, movement... you will notice the crown menu on the right: you press the crow and you choose between the W(ind) mode or the S(et) mode.









I love the layout of the movement:





And the Tuscar from the McGonible Brothers:





This intruiging watch witout dial (the movement IS the dial) features an aggressive balance bridge... I love it ! Of course, you can compare them but the Tuscar makes me think a bit about the Double Tourbillon Technique from Greubel&Forsey.



2 x 2 brothers, 2 great watches I can wait to discover in the metal !

Two beautiful pieces that would look great in MY box. I'll keep dreaming, it's still free.

Love both, from the inside to the outside. The Gronefeld is a cool looking watch, something different with a special flavor. I would go for the WG one. The less attractive face of the McGronigle is forgotten once you have a look at the movement, specially to that blued hairspring that always makes me feel good.

The Gronefeld comes in 12 pieces in white metal (named the 1912), but it is SS, not WG; there will be 20 in RG (named the 'Dune').

The Tuscar sees 10 pieces in WG (the 'One of Ten', all sold) and also an LE of 20 in RG.

Personally, the dial on the SS Gronefeld appeals much more than the dial on the RG. Either will do though!

I find the Tuscar particularly attractive... so nice...

The Gronefeld's offer of a cool dead seconds watch (I dig the movement so much!) is mouthwatering!  Especially in steel!  You know the dead seconds is my favorite complication, so this watch was on my radar in a big way!   What's not to love?

As for the Tuscar, I love its aggressive, almost futuristic movement design.  I want an Irish watch before I die!

... your shots are flawless!! Those are exquisite renderings of a very attractive watch, although (as said elsewhere) the SS seems much more cohesive than the RG.

I am really pleased with how the shots came out. Having said that, I think the Grönefeld stock photo's are great too. Often stock photo's have an artificial touch to them, like they are computer generated renderings.

Based on these pics alone, I think the offerings from both these independents look awesome.
