I saw them at Salon QP and from then on i was hooked.
Sent 4 watches to Auction,sold another 5 and here we are.

My first independent watch

Totally blown away by the watch at the moment could not be happier.
it has been a fantastic experience dealing with Stepan.
I did post a while ago with my dilemma about going independent and thanks to you all for the input which helped me make the decision.
There might even be something else on its way,so watch this space!

The rise of real value Independents like Sarpaneva and Habring
The whole of AHCI and Independents has seen unprecedented growth in recent years....and prices has escalated, sometimes to ridiculous levels, and in many cases, value has correspondingly decreased as such; that leave a space for value Indies like Sarpaneva and Habring to fill. I am really happy that you chose a Indie, remembering you asked about servicing for Indies. I recall you only collect Pateks and VCs, thus far? Congrats on your purchase and do write about your ownership experience in due course. Btw, why Sarpaneva?

As for displaying the time, I suspect you will be crossing off far more expensive items on your wish list that don't come even close to providing this most elementary function - and all without numerals, markings, nagging seconds - just with the four tiny screws that also (!) serve to keep the eyes from wandering about the dial, looking for angles and fixed points for orientation.
What you see is what you get - the time - and a whole lot more that doesn't get in the way but makes doing so an exceptional pleasure!
I'll bet that it also feels comfortable to wear.
There are many watches that try to hide the time as a kind of embarassment, or something one does not speak about in polite society. A lot of these have been decorated to death - or have converted timekeeping into jewelry.
Not so here.
We don't get blinded by "bling" either!
Before moving on to other Indies, a reminder that your first Sarpaneva may not be your last!

That is until I saw photos of the Korona KO and then I started to understand. 
Congratulations on this new piece.
Hopefully, at some stage in the future, I shall lay my hands on one and have the pleasure of examining one.

I love Mr. Sarpaneva's watches. He is not only a first-rate craftsman and watchmaker; he is also an artist, by the strictest sense of the word. I wear my Harvest Moon, rarely, not because I don't like it, but because I wish to preserve it pristine for as long as possible.
