I wrote a little while ago that I asked Richard and Maria Habring for a custom dial. Now that I've got a small camera setup, I think its about time I share some pictures with you.
But before the pictures, I also wanted to thank Richard, Maria and Sylvia at Habring2 for their excellent customer service! They are real people who stand behind their product, and that is something which I feel lost and is lacking with the Big Manufactures. If anyone is looking to buy a watch built by an Independent, I would highly recommend Habring2 as they put out fantastic products are their customer service is second to none!
Ok, on to the pictures. You'll notice some extra "options" I requested for my Doppel 2.0 in addition to the unique dial.
Horizontal brushing of the mid case. I love the pusher for the split chronograph
Faux patina lume to bring out the vintage flavour
Playing with some lighting
I love the tall, slightly domed crystal on this...I wish there was an option for a plexi
A translation of Richards ingenuity that won the GPHG last year. Blue screws as an added option.
An obligatory wrist shot. Did I mention how much I love the crystal on this watch?
All together, I have to say that I've really fallen for this piece on so many levels. Design wise, it has my input and overall it captures the spirit of a vintage watch based on the crystal shape, the vintage coloured lume and black/white combination of yesteryears' chronographs. Emotionally, I bought this 1.5 years ago to celebrate my 30th birthday, and very importantly it carries with it the pleasant interactions I have had with the Habring2 team.
Thanks for reading. I hope this post has given you some pleasure and it did for me.
Best,
Cholack
