Journe references are to the calibre and whether the movement was the earlier brass or the rose gold. You asked about the Resonance:
Early Resonance is 1499 (this is the calibre) R (for Resonance). These were all in 38mm cases. 1499.2 the rose gold movement, RN (to denote Resonance Nouvelle). Latter is true for both 38 and 40mm cases. Transition from brass to rose gold was in 2004.
The Tourbillon Souverain (often called 'the remontoir') was only in brass, calibre 1498T. The 'dead seconds' or second Tourbillon Souverain were all with rose gold movements, calibre 1403TN.
Serial numbers become somewhat more complex and nuanced, and there are a few changes. The above, though, gets to your query, and the case size is not designated via either calibre or serial reference.
Hope this is helpful. I can send you by pm a book reference.
Best,
Douglas
