Ladies watch options

After some time I can ask once again your valuable input, opinion and advice about the following.

My wife has recently indicated that she would like to buy a watch which I of course fully support. She had her mind set onto a full gold bracelet watch, but considering the fact that the price of these are unfortunately pretty steep, she decided to go for a bicolor bracelet version (no diamonds on bezel). She has a pretty small wrist size so anything below 36 mm would be the better option, but I found out that it also limits the choice significantly.

She asked for my advice/ input and I will be frank, but I could not really come up with great choices, other than some of the obvious. She would like something that can be worn casual but also for evening wear.

I would like her to enjoy a mechanical watch and not quartz, but obviously the choice is not mine. I have also come to the conclusion that small sized mechanical watches for women are not always readily available as an automatic or manual wound. So here is the list I could come up with in relation to bicolor bracelet versions and please provide your recommendations as well, if you have any:

·         *  Rolex lady datejust (jubilee bracelet) in any of the various iterations it comes in (which is great)

·         *  AP royal oak 33 mm (quartz)

·         *  Girard perregaux Laureato 34 mm (quartz)

I have looked at Omega, Cartier and Chopard as well, but these don’t appeal to me in bicolor (yes, I know… I am not the one choosing).

At this moment, in my mind the Rolex seem to be the better proposition in regards of options, movement, price, looks, etc. Please also know that she is a Libra, so she could change her mind any day and time and decide not to pursue buying a watch. Nevertheless, your choices will be taken into account for the future regardless.

Thanks for your time.

Kind regards,
